Individual Therapy
Build stronger interpersonal relationships and improve your distress tolerance with individual therapy sessions.
What Do You Treat in Individual Therapy Sessions?
We work with eating disorders, food disorders, grief, addiction, maternal mental health, and LGBTQ+ matters in a holistic, body-positive approach to therapy.
How Are You Different from Other Therapists?
We believe in a long-term approach to long-term mental health challenges. When you join as a client, we commit to you a process that will break patterns and create stronger relationships.
We use a personalized two-pronged approach for every client. The first is psychodynamic, which is when we look at the past to understand the present. We look at patterns you continue to live that are unhelpful or self-destructive and how to move beyond these patterns into a healthier today.
During this process, we are also using the second, which is relational work. By developing a strong therapeutic relationship, we will challenge you, see you, and help you navigate through the painful work therapy entails.
What Should I Expect During My First Session?
Prior to your first session, we will have you complete our online forms. In the first session, we will do an assessment and start the process of getting to know one another. We'll discuss your goals and why you have chosen now to seek out therapy. The first individual therapy session is an hour, and every session thereafter is 45-minutes. Prior to your first session, we’ll put a credit card on file for payment through our electronic medical record system.
To schedule your first session, please reach out to one of our therapists directly.
